Well this is neither itsy bitsy, teeny weeny, polka dot or in any way a bikini, but is a gorgeous yellow vintage bathing suit I found at the op shop for $4. It has a skirted lower half, frills along the neckline and a low scoop at the back; so lovely! I wish it were itsy bitsy but unfortunately it's way too big for me. I'm holding onto it though because I think it would look nice as a wall display in my future house/multi-million dollar beach shack. I did buy some new bathers but I can tell you they cost a lot more than $4! I bought a fifties style black boyleg one piece with pink rose print and a halter neck. I haven't had a chance to wear it yet as the weather's been a wea bit hot for my liking and I don't fancy burning to a crisp!
cute ... and matches the hanger too!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!! So so cute! And it even matches your new layout :)
ReplyDeleteI always have a peek in the bather section at op-shops and have never found anything that perfect! Shame it doesn't fit you...

I absolutely adore yellow and the swim suit is no exception. I think it would look fabulous in the $$ beach shack.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I wish I had one of them! x

ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely amazing! What a precious find :) x Sushi
ReplyDeleteLovely find, it's too bad it doesn't fit but it will make a snazzy wall decoration-- I have a vintage nautical theme in my bathroom and have a 1950s aqua bathing suit hanging up. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is too adorable for words. I am in awe of your amazine ophop finds! I love seeing the bounty that others pick up, inspires me to go more often!
